We bring to you our 11 days Rwanda Safari tour that takes brings you to meet the Gorillas twice of your trekking, you will explore all the activities at Parc Volcanoes including the Dian Fossey where Dian spent some twenty years studying the Mountain Gorillas. The unique Golden monkey trekking experience is unmatched. And a visit to Nyungwe National Park tracking chimps and 11 other primates.
Day 1: Arrival Kigali Airport.
On arrival you will be picked from the airport by our company representative who will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera.
After breakfast you will drive to Akagera National Park. After lunch you will do an afternoon game drive which will enrich you with wild animals like Giraffes, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, Crocodiles, Hippos and plenty of bird life.

Day 3: Game drive and a boat ride Akagera
Have breakfast and then go for a game drive where you may spot various wild animals. Return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter go for a boat ride on Lake Ihema. Dinner and overnight as above

Day 4: Transfer to Parc Nationale des volcanoes.
Ranging in altitude from 2400km to 4,507 the Volcanoes National Park (French: Parc National des Volcans) is dominated by the setting of volcanoes after which it is named. Best known to the outside world as the place where for almost 20yrs the American primatologist Dian Fossey under took her pioneering studies of mountain gorilla behaviour. Day hikes to see the gorilla families can be strenuous on tracks climbing through the forest, and time is very limited once contact is made with the gorilla families. It is a rare and memorable experience to visit with these giant cousins of man.
Our accommodation is ideally positioned for those who want to watch animals in their habitat, specifically the endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas that still roam these areas. Share in the cuisine of Rwanda, which is served with the hospitality for which we all return to African countries. Take walks, learn more about the gorillas, and absorb the gorgeous surrounding landscape.

Day 5 and 6: Two Gorilla trekking.
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing, and then you will begin the trekking. The trek can be quite tough that it takes a lot of time approximately 2-8 hours. Dinner and overnight at Le’ Bambou Gorilla Safari Lodge (Lodge facility) or Kinigi Guest House (Budget facility). The evening is spent on sightseeing and relaxing around the hotel.

Day 7: Dian Fossey Trek
You will have breakfast and then go to visit the grave of Dian Fossey. This is at the former Karisoke Research Center where Dian spent some twenty years studying the Mountain Gorillas, and the trek to the site is quite spectacular, passing through bamboo forest and afro-montane habitats. You may spot other wildlife during the visit.

Day 8: Golden monkey trekking.
After breakfast you will go for Golden monkey trekking. This takes a few hours, you will return to the lodge, have lunch and go to visit the twin lakes as you enjoy the cool breeze of the lakes.

Day 9: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
An early wake up will see you start your journey to Nyungwe National Park. The drive is approximately 6-7 hours via Kigali city. The drive takes you through small towns and villages and if interested you could also look out for several up country mass graves to learn more about the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. You will arrive at the lodge in time for relaxation and preparation for tomorrows activities. If time allows, you may visit the National Museum at Butale or The Kings Palace to learn more about the culture of the Rwandese people.

Day 10: Chimpanzee trekking Nyungwe Forests
Have breakfast go for chimp trekking, during trekking you might spot primates like the colobus monkeys plus viewing other inhabitants of the forest like birds and butterflies, return to the lodge for late lunch.

Day 11: Nyungwe Forests-Kigali Out
Have breakfast ready for a guided nature walk in the forest to see a variety of animals and some of the three hundred bird species found here, which include the Rwenzori turaco and black and white casqued hornbill. Go on an escorted walk in search of large groups of colobus monkeys and transfer back to Kigali with lunch enroute ready to catch up with your evening out bound flight to your next destination.
