In Uganda, the cost of a gorilla permit is relatively lower compared to Rwanda. As of September 2021, the price of a gorilla permit in Uganda was $700 per person for foreign non-residents. However, the fee for foreign residents was $600 per person, and East African citizens (Ugandan, Kenyan, Tanzanian, Rwandan, or South Sudanese citizens) paid a discounted fee of UGX 250,000 (approximately $70).
