Safari Overview
This 5 day gorilla tracking safari offers you the opportunity to trek mountain gorillas; Trek the interesting Bisoke Mountain (3700m) and Golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. Having a chance to see some of the last remaining 700 mountain gorillas in the world is a wonderful experience. It offers you an opportunity to track gorillas two times. Parc Nationale des Volcanoes in Rwanda has five habituated gorilla families and tracking most groups in the afro-montane forest usually takes a few hours. You can also climb a volcano, visit the remains of Dian Fossey’s grave or visit the endangered golden monkey.
It offers you an opportunity to trek Mt Visoke which stands at 3700m, it has the typical conic shape of a “perfect” volcano and in its crater lies a deep crater lake. It is nevertheless still a tough hike. The whole excursion can take between 5 hours and the whole day depending on the speed of the walk and the frequency of stops. Day 1: Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes.
You will be picked up from your hotel or place of residence and transferred to Parc Nationale des Volcanoes, Dinner and overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Safari Lodge (Lodge facility) or Kinigi Guest House (Budget facility). The evening is spent sightseeing and relaxing around the hotel.

Low Budget: Kinigi Guest House or Muhavura Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking Volcanoes
Have breakfast, and transfer to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guides. When you are done with the briefing, you will begin the trekking. The trek can be quite tough and it takes a lot of time, approximately 2–8 hours. Overnight at:

Day 3: Golden Monkeys tracking in Parc National des Volcans
In the morning, after breakfast, you will set off to the forest to track the rare Golden monkeys. You will encounter other primate species as velvet monkeys, baboons, and a variety of bird species and butterflies. The guide will be ready to answer your questions about fauna and flora.

Day 4: Hike Mount Bisoke and visit Crater Lake on the top
Leave the hotel very early in the morning after breakfast at 06:30 hours to meet with your guide then drive to the park entrance where you will start your hike, hiking mountain Bisoke takes 1–2 hours up and 1hr down depending on your fitness. Back to your hotel for lunch after, drive back to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight at:

Day 5: Kigali City Tour-Out
After your African cup of coffee, be ready for a drive to visit Kigali city, which includes the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. The Kigali City tour will enable you to visit the colorful markets, genocide memorials and craft centres are the main areas of interest. In Rwanda, you will find all over the country Memorials to remember the genocide of 1994. Thereafter, your afternoon lunch be transferred to Kigali Airport for your outbound flight Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch End of service
