5 Days Chimps & Gorilla Tracking
Day 1: Nyungwe Forest National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport meet and greet with your guide who will brief you about this Rwanda tour and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Hotel. HB
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing then set out to the forest to trek man’s closest relative the chimpanzees, the duration of the trekking exercise is dependent upon the location of the chimps. Besides chimps, you may have chance to see other primates like Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey, Rwenzori colobus, Grey cheeked Mangabey and L’Hoest’s monkey. We will return to the lodge after the trek for meals, relaxation and overnight stay at the lodge/ Hotel. FB
Day 3: Lake Kivu – Gisenyi
After a relaxed breakfast, we will drive to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi, a place best known for its sparkling natural beauty. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. FB
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, drive to volcanoes National Park reaching in time for briefing after set out to the forest to track the magnificent apes, the mountain gorillas.A thrilling experience is guaranteed on your safari to Rwanda because of the presence of these rare primates. Duration of the tracking depends on the location of the mountain gorillas.However,you are required to obtain a trekking permit before you are allowed to enjoy the activity. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. FB
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you may either make a tour to the local community or the twin Lakes before you return to Kigali. In Kigali you will do a city tour, visiting the museum and the genocide memorial center. Depending on the time of your flight,you will be transferred to the Airport for departure.
